Impact Investing consulting intern

Overview

Phenix Capital is an Amsterdam-based investment consultant that catalyses institutional capital towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We support institutional investors to make impact investments through our Impact Database, Institutional Impact Events, Advisor, and Placement Services. Through Impact Database we provide a comprehensive and global universe of institutional impact investors.

To support our vision and growth path, we have a position opening for an Impact Investing Consulting Intern to join our Investment Consulting & Data Team.

Phenix Capital is looking for an entrepreneurial individual with a strong interest in impact investing to join its team based in Amsterdam. This individual will be working on research and advisory projects. A focus area will be to assess impact fund strategies and advise on best practices across impact fund investment selection, management, measurement, and reporting.

 

Responsibilities

• Researching best-practices and examples within impact investing fund market

• Project management of impact fund consulting projects

• Producing Impact Fund Assessment Reports

• Ad-hoc support of advisory and research projects

• Profiling impact investment funds for the database

• Communicating with clients (fund managers and asset owners)

• Performing data analysis using Microsoft Power BI

Requirements

• Available for 6 months to work full-time from our Amsterdam Office

• Strong interest in learning about impact investing and asset management

• Excellent analytical and writing skills in English

• Ability to communicate complex information concisely and clearly

• Strong academic achievement at bachelor’s degree program

• Basic understanding of impact investing fund challenges

• Familiarity with some relevant impact investing industry initiatives and frameworks

• Previous work experience or internship in an office environment

• Experience in a client facing project would be considered a plus

• Knowledge of and familiarity with financial/investment products and asset classes (CFA or CAIA candidate would be a plus)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and competency using Microsoft Power BI would be a plus

• The office is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

• 40 working hours per week

• 25 days of vacation

• 750 EUR remuneration per month
