Phenix Capita Groupl is an Amsterdam-based investment consultant that catalyses institutional capital towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We support institutional investors to make impact investments through our Impact Database, Institutional Impact Events, Advisor, and Placement Services. Through Impact Database we provide a comprehensive and global universe of institutional impact investors.

In alignment with Phenix Capital’s overarching mission of catalysing institutional capital towards the SDGs, through our fundraising advice and introduction services, we support the connection of impact fund managers with institutional investors globally. Since 2012 we have raised over EUR 300M for impact funds.

To support our vision and growth path, we have a position opening for an impact investing fundraising intern to join our Investment Consulting & Data Team.

As first movers in impact and sustainable investing, we leverage the market intelligence and relationships built since 2012, to support a select group of impact fund managers with their fundraising efforts. In particular, our services support clients with the following:

• Definition of fundraising plan: identification of target markets, investor segments.

• Introductions to institutional investors globally, with an active impact mandate, aligned with the fund goals.

• Public relations and positioning of the fund through publications and/or participation in Phenix events.

• Product development, in particular advice on the fund’s impact proposition and marketing materials.

• Collecting information about impact investing mandates based on public sources (e.g. annual reports, press releases/articles, fund commitments).

Responsibilities

With the growth of the impact investing industry, and of Phenix Capital Group, we are looking for an intern to support the team with the high demand for services. The main areas of work include:

• Data collection using the company database, CRM

• Data analysis, basic knowledge of PowerBi a strong plus

• Support external communication: support (senior) associates with the external communication to investors and maintaining up to date company CRM and project management software.

• Any other business and support other teams in particular Phenix Database team

Requirements

• We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in impact investing with the following characteristics:

  • Recently graduated (maximum two years ago) or finalizing studies in a relevant field of studies.

  • Basic knowledge of the investment industry and investment funds.

  • Self-starter and proactive attitude, adaptable to a dynamic working environment.

  • An aptitude for data collection and analysis, CRM workflows/automations is a plus.

  • Proficient use of MS Excel required, PowerBI strong plus.

  • Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken.

  • Available to work from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Our offer

• The office is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

• Preference for full time 40 hours per week engagement. Possible to agree to fewer hours for students.

• Duration: 6 months internship contract.

• 12.5 vacation days.

• 750 EUR remuneration per month.

Candidates will be considered for a full-time offer on completion of the internship.
