In his keynote speech, Mark Kramer explained how we are entering a new stage of understanding the linkage between investment performance and social impact. An era where integrating social impact and ESG considerations in investment analysis is not only about managing risk. We realize opportunities for higher growth, profitability, and competitive advantage that come from treating social and environmental issues as integral to a company’s core strategic positioning.
Mark Kramer ended his keynote by pointing towards the need to focus on investors’ social responsibility. According to him “the opportunity is for investors to become part of the solution by channeling their investments into public companies that are creating shared value”.
