Dana Bezerra, President of Heron Foundation shares her view of how the foundation contributes to creating a net positive impact on society and the challenges overcome to align its entire portfolio with the SDGs. She shares that after the 2008 recession, Heron Foundation decided to act and move 100% of the foundation’s endowments invested for the mission by the end of 2017.
The Foundation's objective is to make sure low-income households have income, focusing on examining the relationship between headcount and revenue. As a poverty-fighting organization, the foundation has deconstructed the way it makes investments and built a new model with a social lens embedded in it.
